ABOUT
I believe therapy can be fun and transforming!
Therapy is like getting a tune-up for your car. If your car is 18 years old, it might be time to do some maintenance! This is okay; you want your car to run well!
Therapy is for the client, YOU.
If you have a specific goal, let's work toward that goal! And you are an integral part in your own therapy. You create your own goals; I only help facilitate those goals. I see myself as a guide, someone to help you put the puzzle pieces together to create a fuller, more complete, life. A life that is filled with deeper meaning and sense of purpose.
Most therapists use an ‘eclectic approach’, which means using a number of therapies, suited for the situation and the individual. I also use an eclectic approach and tailor treatment according to each client's needs. The weaving of different approaches into therapy sessions creates a richer outcome.
My Main Therapeutic Approaches for Adults:
Logo Therapy: Existential (Viktor Frankl)
Cognitive Therapy: (Aaron Beck)
Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy: (Albert Ellis)
Gestalt: Existential/Humanistic (Fritz Perls, Laura Posner Perls.)
12-Step: Addictions, codependency, families impacted by addictions, adult children of alcoholics and addicts, and Al-anon.
Please Note:
These Therapeutic Approaches are Direct.
You will be encouraged to examine and make changes in your thinking, emotions, choices, and Life!
If you are feeling stuck, within a few sessions
you can begin to feel empowered!
There are solutions!
